Peridots on this page are superior color (strong color with no "olive" tint) and superior clarity (no black spots) and are great value. Most peridots in the market are not suitable for Jyotish--Occasionally, I find some peridots that have excellent color and clarity--here they are! |

Green Tourmaline This color tourmaline is rare; it's green from every direction, without any bluish secondary color. And this gem is free of black tone along the "c" axis. (The "c" axis is the direction along the long dimension of the tourmaline crystal.) Ideal for your Jyotish recommendation because it's a clean, affordable alternative to emerald.
